Cecily Strong Stands Up For Trans Rights On "Saturday Night Live"
Did you watch Saturday Night Live this weekend? If you did, you probably caught the show's hilarious spoof of Logo's Fire Island reality series.
And you likely saw host Scarlett Johansson as Ivanka Trump, hawking her new perfume, "Complicit."
But you may have missed a small nod to the transgender community in the show's closing moments: When Johansson and musical guest Lorde returned to the stage to thank the audience for watching, cast member Cecily Strong was sporting a "Trans Rights are Human Rights" t-shirt.
It was particularly noticeable since the whole cast appeared to be wearing black shirts.
Of course, trans rights have been under attack this month, as the Trump administration has rescinding Obama-era protections and the Supreme Court returned Gavin Grimm's case to the lower courts.
You can pick up your own version of Cecily's shirt here.
